To reset a Xantrex you have to disconnect the DC as well, completely. I would expect the charger to work even at low DC volts. The inverter side would not however.

Thanks to all for the replies....Back to Camping World today......They said the Inverter is dead....Seems kind of strange... But, it is what it is....They're going to give us an extimate on Monday of what that will cost to get installed and when we can get one.... We'll find out how good our extended warranty is.....

You might expect it, but it doesn't happen.
Read the manual page 5.

Sorry you are wrong, wrong, wrong. Its a charger inverter. Sure if you have low batteries it will not INVERT as the manual says, but it will CHARGE!! Coz thats its other function, and in point of fact its main one.

If you have to replace the inverter/charger, highly recommend you get them to put a Magnum Energy in there instead of Xantrex. Xantrex not the company they once were and Magnum makes good stuff. The MS2812 is a 2800 watt pure sine wave unit.

I had a 2000 and there was a breaker switch on the unit itself...... maybe that's it.
Good Luck

+1 on the Magnum MS2812. I plan to order one when I get home to replace my 2000 Magnum.

A guy in the RV park where we are also says to put a Magnum in... we'll do that...I've put a battery charger on the batteries, it says that two of the house batteries are fully charged and the other two are nearly dead.... Guess I better get house batteries as well... Ugh!

When we had the Samsung 197 RR installed we also had the Magnum 2812 and new control panel installed at the same time. If you go that way a BIG + you do not need to change out the cable to the control panel they just drop 2 wires. To install my frig, inverter and control panel 7hr. Have you had any problems with the chassis staying charged? My echo charger went out so installed the Magnum combiner now chassis battery stays at 13.6v all the time, no more dead battery.

Just another reason why I never go to any Camping World for service work.

Magnum PSW Inverter/Charger is the way to go.
