Keyless door lock not functioning

Hello all,

I have a 2007 Magna with the trimark system. Everything works except the door lock actuator will not lock or unlock the entry door, whether I am using the key fob or the pinpad. I have tested actuator, and the actuator works. I believe there is a relay, or two which control the actuator, but do not know the location of said relay. I have checked all the relays in the electronics/hydraulic compartment. Does anyone know the location of the relay/relays?

Thanks, John Whittaker

the relay is in the door. On Allure the system is in the door. Could be the wiring harness running thru the door jam. Try wiggling the harness or inspecting to see if harness is pinched. I was able to have enough spare wire to pull more wire in the door and repair.

That system could control your steps, bay locks, door lock and dash compass/temp indicator.

My actuator stopped working and it was a wire that had not been crimped properly in the door. Once the door panel was removed it was obvious .

Keyless entry fobs will not work

I had a similar problem on the same day. My remote keyless on my 2017 HR Navigator stopped working. Both fobs will not cause actuation. However, the keyless entry switch on the dash actuates the lock. What could be wrong? Where is the receiver for the fob transmission?

Thanks all,

I finally tracked the problem down to where the wire harness goes through the door. The casing on the wire did not look bad, but when I opened it up, and tracked it down to the two appropriate wires inside, I detected a weak point in one wire. I suspect I will have more issues down the road, but now know where to look!

I never did discover the relay, which the manual states runs the actuator. Thanks again for your input.

John.

As stated the wiring harness going thru the door jam controls many items.
Kevin Waite has new harness which is a little smaller diameter which allows the wire to slide in and out the door better. Many owners have added a spring to the harness inside the door to help it not get pinched.
