Koni SP3 on Allure, first impressions

Picked up the coach from Coach Care with the new Koni SP3 shocks on the front. SP3's set one notch back from most firm. These are replacing the FSD's that were letting me float too much and bottom out on occasion.

Drive home revealed less floating for sure. No bottoming out in some of the big dips in the road at speed. With the more firm shock, more of the road is transmitted to the 'seat' for sure. With the FSD's the ride was swoopy but butter smooth. With the SP3's the ride is a tad more choppy but less bouncing.

So was it worth the investment?

I think so. Not having the coach floating like a 1959 Cadillac and bottoming out on occasion was worth the bucks spent. The Koni's were certainly not as expensive as Road King, although I know the RK's are top of the line shocks.
