Kwikee Step Series 42

I have a 2000 CC Intrigue with a Series 42 Step. The problem I have is, I can hear the motor running when the door opens and closes but the step doesn't go out or come in. Has anyone had the same problem and if so, how did you repair it?

Thank you in advance Gary

If the motor makes sounds.
It could be broken pin in the linkage?
Broken linkage?
Gears stripped?

One way to find out which one, is to look at the motor area when opening or closing the door. Stay off to the side of the steps when doing that.

With the switch to the step turned off,try to pull the steps out by hand. If you can move the steps manualy there is either a broken pin or broken lnkage.
