Looking for some advise regarding installing a ladder on our "new" to us 2004 Country Coach Intrigue. When we purchased the coach we noticed it didn't have the ladder, but thought we would install one later so we could clean the roof and do maintenance with out getting a 12' ladder to climb up on. Does anyone know if this model of coach has the blocking in the rear or even if it's a good idea to mount a ladder?

Seeing that they still remain in business, why not give them a call, 541-234-2167(or Country Coach Corporation), for the service center. I would bet they have some sort of reinforcing(steel, aluminum, wood), but to actually find it based on someone elses coach - phew
Congratulations - one of my dream coaches, probably to never be more then that

Thanks IC2. Great idea.. I know the company was down but not out for a short time, but it didn't cross my mind to call. We will be going that way in late summer of 2012. But I'll call today and see what they have to say.

IC2. I placed that call to Country Coach and just got off the phone with them. The coach I have has the blocking to mount a ladder on it. The company just needs about a 6 weeks lead time to order the ladder and about a half a day to install it. Thanks again for your recommendation.

Walt - glad it worked for you. Sounds like you will let them have the "pleasure" of installing it. I did one on a long gone 5th wheel and have to say that it was an interesting project, but my dealer supplied the correct locating dimensions

Walt - we have a 2002 affinity 42. Ours does not have a ladder either. I bought a great portable one from camping world that works well. Btw we were at cc in Oregon this summer. A really great place to get work done. They just made some custom cabinet doors for me and sent them down. Superb quality at a very fair price.

Hi Bob
Thanks for the information. The DW and I were just going over some other things we wanted done to our "new to us" coach and one was to change out the TV's for the flat screens and that would require us to get some cabinet work done. Others are just some items the DW whats taken care of. The person we purchased our coach from also recommended them to service the coach. Plan to start snow birding next fall and stopping by Junction City on our way.

Walt - replacing old tube TVs is exactly why we had CC do the doors. They are to cover up the place the old TVs were. We just have one bigger flat screen we set on the desk that is in our front room. We really like the new setup.

Hi Bob
Hey, great idea, I like the ladder. I was thinking more on the lines of the folding one, but then couldn't get on the roof. This solves the problem. I'll have to pick one up when we head south next fall. As for the TV's we are going to replace then. I figure that will save me 50 pounds or better.
We have heard some good reports from numerous sources regrading the companies in OR that can do a super job of installing the TV's and the cabinets. We already have that in our plans for next fall.
Thanks again for the information and advice.
Walt
