Level system help

My coach is not leveling in sleep mode it will come to level in manual mode. The light blinks fast I come back after a day or so (in storage) and it is trying to level or it says slope problem. Any ideas?

With the house battery on, engine off, and the coach not level, push the leveling key.

Do you eventually hear a sequence of air being dumped, and more importantly, the electric compressor in the front basement trying to raise the coach?

If not, that compressor is not working properly. It is the one that will raise the rig in the sleep mode.

If you hear the front compressor but the coach does not rise slowly somewhere, the air pressure from that compressor is being diverted somehow.

All the above is in slow motion vs using the engine compressor. So have patience while testing.

The above assumes the rig is not parked on a slope such that the engine compressor also cannot achieve level status.

Will try that the coach has no problem with the engine on leveling so I would suspect the other compressor not doing its job. When last checked the two yellow lights were on one was blinking and I heard no compressor going.

Any trouble shooting ideas on the other compressor?

Ok the small compressor does work I think my problem is I'm loosening air fast on that side. I put a marker on the side and my coach dropped about 1/2 inch in about ten minutes. Now I'm chasing an air leak and I can not hear it?

Any ideas?

Soapy water sprayed on air lines near the driver side front airbag and on the bag to see if bubbles form?

The single front ride height valve is on that side on my old rig, as I recall but that should drop both bags.

I've been chasing air leaks all winter. Changed 10 airbags and all connections with minor improvement. Biggest leaks were at front and rear tanks and hardest to find was at park brake next to driver! My point, it takes time. Our home base is in the Mojave Desert where rubber and plastic deteriorate somewhat faster. Tracing air lines, looking for bubbles and then fixing hard to reach connectors has been a very spiritual growth path for me. As my wife says 'its just nuts and bolts, how hard can it be?'

Why would I lose about a inch of air then it stops loseing air. When I first level out my coach it drops a inch on one side in about 15 minutes then it stops. Does that sound like a leak or something else.

Is the coach still level when it stops dropping or are you then 1" off level?

Maybe a weak solenoid on one of the manifolds under the coach???

One of the manuals I have for my HWH air leveling system specs +/- 1" side to side and +/- 5.4" front to back for a 36' coach. I think my system does a bit better than this but at times I manually adjust the level .

I replaced my Thomas air pump with a Viair 330 C-IG. This pump has approximately 3 times the air capacity at 100 psi and will still operate on the fused circuit. I believe the Thomas pump pulls 10 amps and the Viair can pull up to 12 amps. My circuit is fused at 20 amps. Viair makes a larger capacity pump but I felt I would need to pull new wires and fuse it for 30 amps. The Viair pump is not overly fast at leveling the coach, perhaps 5 minutes, but at least it levels now.

I have a 98 Intrigue. My compressor runs but it doesn't seem like anything is happening. It will release are when it first tries to level then the compressor starts up but doesn't appear to be doing anything. It will run for a while and then I guess it times out and the excess slope light comes on with the air light. I'm open to any suggestions. I will check to see if there is any output from the compressor. I can hear it running but that's it

Does it drop if you level in the manual mode? Could it be the level board in the front drivers compartment?
Mine is off a little and I usually just manual level, it stays at that point. My compressor is so slow I get tired of hearing it run, if I need to relevel l just start the engine, usually when the D/W tells me, its time to check the level. Good luck, Marvin, 07 Allure,470, 31459

I guess I am lucky since my Thomas compressor seems to work fine. I level with the engine running. I rarely hear the 12V compressor run but, whenever it does, it runs for a brief time only and I can usually see or feel the coach re-level a bit.

The only time I've heard the compressor run for a long period was when I was on a bit more slope than the system could handle and, after shutting down the engine, the compressor ran and never stopped. I just shut the leveling system down and we were level enough to be comfortable.

It could be that the leveling sensor is not adjusted properly
