Just because you have a Cummins or a Cat doesn't mean that you absolutely, positively, have to go to a Coach Care or Cat repair facility. There are a lot of diesel repair places that do fine work and those should not be counted out. If I was in a Coach Care facility and they told me it would be 1 or 2 weeks before they could work on me, I'd be on the phone looking for another shop.

Agree. For example, we arrived in Kerrville, TX last week with a low fuel pressure issue with our Cummins that would prevent us from travel (or at least make it very difficult). We were referred to a local independent RV/Truck/Equipment shop who offers pretty much full chassis/house repairs. Called them on Friday, got us in on Tuesday and out on Friday. $120 per hr labor rate, clean shop, nice folks. Would highly recommend LeMeilleur's RV in Kerrville.

I have to give credit to Cummins Coach Care in Coburg OR. Nov 21 - Jan 25 2015. Diagnose tear down and overhaul. One mechanic on it and the Coach inside the whole time. We were very fortunate with the timing. We were headed to Junction City for winter storage and an hour from our destination began to run rough. Had the coach hauled into Coburg and left it there. I hate to hear the stories of long waits and ridiculous charges. I hope it never happens to me but we all know it's a toss up each time we deal with a repair facility that we've never seen before.
