I have read about the straight axel and certainly understand that independent suspension is more desirable.

I know there are allure and intrigue owners on here so I would like to hear more and learn more. But my perception is that the CC Allure would be in the league with the American coach Dream and maybe the Monaco Windsor. Don't rip me up if I am way wrong but just let me know why. Since the Allure has the Dyno-max chassis. with the 8.3 Cummins Allison trans, Solid wood interior seems like it is built on a solid unit. I understand there are many other factors and maybe the Magna is much more superior.
Keep the info coming and thanks to everyone on here....Rusty
Rusty, while my Allure is newer than the vintage you are considering, I suspect any Allure has similar 'bones' to the Magna. The Magna is more fully featured, for sure, and more heavy. So it has heavier suspension components than the Allure and a more powerful engine. While the Allure of those years may have been CC's 'entry level' coach, all CC's were well built. Again, probably not a fair comparison due to age difference, but we looked at two Intrigues when we looked at the Allure we eventually purchased. The interior was almost identical as were the comfort features. The big difference was the size of the engine.... my Allure had the Cummins ISL and the Intrigues had 500 hp engines (CAT's in those we saw).

If you like a spiffy looking rig and keeping the exterior looking good is important to you, I will say any coach with full body paint will be much easier to keep nice than a coach with just gelcoat.

Looking at the pictures the major outside difference is the mounting of the hydraulic reservoir, batteries and much larger propane tank. Our chassis batteries are mounted where the propane tank is and we only have a 5.5 gal tank mounted on the drivers side on top of the fuel tank.
Interior is close too although the floor plan is different and we don't have a dishwasher (well, we do... me).
Here's ours while at Premier RV in Junction City OR. http://www.premierrvservices.com/2009-magna-45/

We did take the Stressless chair out and replace it with a La Z Boy recliner/rocker as the Stressless just was uncomfortable for both of us.

This came from JC, OR a couple months ago to Tucson. I'm thinking about taking it up there to get schooled regarding all the electronics and stuff specific the CC. The are things on this one that I have never seen. The dealer said they have some guys that used to sell CC back in the day but that often doesn't mean they know the in and outs of the coach. Ya think it would be worth the trip to JC?

JC is the "birth place" of CC's, there are many of the old tech's there and several places specializing in working on them. I need to get ours back down there for some needed repairs, updates and window replacements but the DW's liver transplant (done July 4th) is coming first.
