Magna Leveling question

Hi, I have a 1998 CC Magna with HWH leveling air system. No Jacks. When I level the coach there's a motor running under the drivers seat in the compartment after the coach is level for what seems too long? Is this normal? I think it's not normal? Or is it? Let me know.
Thanks in advance. Ray

Ray,
I have an Inspire and can't be much help but if you haven't already, try the Yahoo Country Coach Forum.

If you dump the air before trying to level, it is possible that the pump will run for quite some time.

Try this: pull into your spot and try to level without dumping. The HWH computer will lower or add air to the proper side to get the coach level

I would think it is not normal. We level before we dump and then dump and also the other way, but once the four level lights are green the pump stops.

Perhaps the compressor shut down is not in sync with the level sensor.

A call to HWH might give you an answer.

Ray - We have the same leveling system. The air compressor in the motor is more powerful than the electric one. What we do is leave the motor running for a couple minutes until the coach is mostly or completely level and then shut the motor off. If the electric motor bugs you just shut it off. That is what I do.

Always turn mine off once initially leveled. Never a problem yet. Stays level for a long time.

rdcd - on the control panel there is an off button. I just wait till it looks like it is level and push off. My experience is that sometimes if you leave it on after leveling that in the middle of the night when it gets cold the air compacts in the air bags. So the leveler comes on at 3am.

If the coach gets a little out of level you just push the on button again.
