Magnum inverter update with Silverleaf

Has anyone done the upgrade from xantrex to magnum with silverleaf total coach controls? Im trying to decide what to do. My rs3000 float charge is to high by default and silverleaf didn't include the ability to control. They now have discovered the error and are doing a software update over the next 2 weeks but it will only be built for the sw3000 since the rs is obsolete .I will need to either go with the sw or the magnum to cure my charging problem. I would ike to confirm the magnum settings work with total coach.

Can't tell you about the total coach stuff because I have an "experienced" coach. When I installed the Magnum Energy setup, I found that the controller has 2 AGM settings. AGM1 has a higher float rating, I don't remember what without looking at the manual. The AMG2 setting is specifically for the Lifeline battery and is set for 13.1 volts.

With the battery monitor, I would think that the float would be regulated by battery temperature.

Currently in Mexico but when I return to CONUS, I will give ME a call and ask a few questions

Have you asked Xantrex if they have a stand alone controller were you could connect it and make the changes you need then reconnect the Silverleaf? Could save a lot of time and money if they do. I have one of these in my coach because I don't have the Silverleaf but I also have a newer Xantrex, SW 2012. With this I can make many changes and also make custom settings to the charging parameters. Maybe something like this? I think the Xantrex part number is 809-0910 for your inverter/charger but you might want to check with Xantrex before buying anything.

Hi Barney
The available controlrs are for the sw and they are unsure they will work for the rs. Silverleaf is trying to find a progrming devise they thought they had around. I had the unit set to 2 stage to stop the float as a temp measure. I got a post from the forum to disconnect the temp sensor and that set the float to 12.8V at 5 amps.
