Maintaining slides

I recently bought an 06 Intrigue on the east coast and drove it back to WA with my son. Wonderful trip. Every morning and night when I turned the key and pressed the rocker switch to extend or contract the slide I would hold my breath. My biggest concern is the slides not moving. What do you do to maintain (preventative maintenance) to ensure your slide are in good working order.
Thanks, Bill.

Not much really. Lube the seals. I paid OMC to check mine but they didn't do the job so, while I'm at HWH getting the Active Air installed next month I'll have them check them over and adjust.

I also have a 45ft Jubilee and about six years ago I couldn't get the forward drivers side slide to lift and come in . So I cleaned the tracks and put a light silicone lube on the tracks . Had the DW push the button while I pushed from the outside and it came right in . Now I always clean and lube the tracks on the slides after 3 or 4 time in and out and have never had another problem again . That's the only problem I've ever had with my slides and mine have always come in straight , no problem there .

I hope this works for you if you ever have problems with your slides not lifting and coming in .
