My 3rd CC but I'm Stumped on Affinity- Any help?

I have owned 2 Infinity CCs previously and 2 brand X. I just bought a '99 Country Coach Affinity 40' (27000 mi) with Hydornic heat. I got few of the original users manuals along with the coach and this thing has more switches and controls than a 747. I am trying to turn on the hydronic heat and the manual I do have mentions 2 switches: "interior heat exchangers" & "central heat control". I am assuming if I can find these switches the "furnace" setting would appear on my main A/C & heat strip control??? These switches don't appear to be inside the coach - are they somewhere in the hydronic bay? I know it works because the dealer had all zones working b 4 we left the lot.

Also, I have 4 8D batteries & the dealer didn't have a clue which were for chassis and which were house. Any clue?

I was a long time member of the old Country Coach forum and got excellent technical info there - hoping for the same here. Having owned 2 Intrigues I didn't foresee the additional complications associated with the Affinity, but what a coach!!!

If anyone has any answers I dont mind a post but please email me with the same at glen@dfwinsuranceofnt.org. My cell is 214-682-9300

I have seen 2000 Affinitys with hydronic heat controls in the console above the dash.
On my coach, the coach batteries are on top, the chassis batteries on the bottom of the compartment. Easy way to check would be to disconnect the coach batteries to verify.

My 2000 Magna has the two furnace control switches beside the bed. My thermostat is above the entry door.

My house batteries are in the top slide tray with the chassis batteries in the lower tray.

Thanks to both responders - yes I also have a furnace control on the passenger side in the BR specifying bed room heat but see nothing up front. The A/C and heat strip white control box up front will not display "furnace" - that is why I was wondering if the afore mentioned switches, wherever they are, are turned to on, the furnace option would appear on this control - it is definitely zoned heat. The instructions for lighting the furnace is fairly specific (engine off) but I find no controls to correspond with the manual description. The procedure to start the system up is similar to lighting a pilot light on a home water heater except I assume the ignition source is electronic. I'll keep looking. Like we said in the country "even a blind hog finds an acorn now and then".

BTW: Does anyone have a source for the brass and glass round trim rings for the interior halogen coach lights? I am missing 3 and my local dealer can't find a replacement source.

I would still like to know from anyone what the last digit is for CC parts as posted above.

Still need to find some brass & glass round trim rings for the ceiling lights. Or a work around. Switching out all the little 12v bullet light assemblies would get expensive in a hurry but I want them to match.

The buttons you described are in a cc Prevost conversion. In my Prevost they are above the driver. If you have 3 roof airs you will prbsbly only see the furnace option on zones 1 and 3. If your roof airs were replaced it's possible the new control boards weren't configured for furnance; an easy dip switch change.

Generally, house and chassis batteries are segregated. If all 4 8Ds were in one place they could all be part of the house bank. My house bank contains 8 8Ds, for 4 may well be for the house.

You may try giving Kevin Waite a call. 541-953-6162. He's an ex CC tech and now has a mobile service in the Eugene area. He seems to know how to find a lot of CC parts.

My Magna's batteries are separated. The house batteries are in the smaller compartment on the passenger side opposite the Hydro Hot and the chassis batteries are in the 2nd from rear compartment on the passenger side.
