New T stat

Any body have experience changing out the t stat that is all inclusive, cooling, heat pump and aqua hot. It doesn’t seem to work correctly or maybe it is the temp sensors, where ever they are ? Sure would like to change to more than one t stat. The current one is adjacent to the front door on the wall of the tv stereo controls in our 2004 Intrigue Ovation 42. Anynthoughts?

My 1990 coach is older than yours but I changed out both the old mechanical thermostats with modern digital LCD thermostats. I do know it’s necessary to use a thermostat that uses a battery as my coach does not have a control (power) wire. Works perfectly. My coach has two central basement AC units and a Webasto hydronic diesel furnace.

Would you please name the make/model of the thermostats?

I bought them a couple years ago on Amazon. I’ll search for the order and report back.

Here it is:

About $30 each. I’ve been very happy with mine.

Wally if you and jerry have the digital dutherm 5 button comfort thermostat the typical standard digital thermostat won’t interchange. I believe Russ said he had the old mechanical type stat that he changed to digital. This is a nice improvement but in later years what dutherm did was they made their delux a/c units with circuit boards that won’t work with a normal home type thermostat. I have a 5 button comfort stat in mine that has a mind of its own. I even bought a new one and it is no better. I did separate the furnace from mine and put a stat like Russ suggested to control the propane furnace. If there was a simple way to do that with 2 thermostats for the a/c and heat pumps I would do it I do not like that dutherm comfort stat if anyone has a way to do this without adding a bunch of relays to the a/c circuit boards I am all ears.
