New (to me) CC owner

Hi there, figured I would introduce myself. I have been hanging out lurking here a while trying to learn from you guys. About a month ago, me and the wife purchased a 1998 Country Coach Magna 40' with slide out (I guess that wasn't standard back then?).

From what I have read on here it should be a Dynamax chassis, but it has the Gillig chassis sticker on it. It has a 330HP engine which from what I have found on here should be the 7.6L Detroit Series 40e. But again, just going from what I have heard on here.

We live in Utah. The coach was from Arizona, so of course all the window seals got a good melting. This is my first coach. My dad had a pretty big coach when I was younger. But this is my first. So it is a huge learning experience for me. BTW, I started posting a series on my blog about my experiences if you care to waste some time listing to a newb rant on. Here is my latest post over there.

So far we have found some issues with the coach, mostly minor. I have found many issue with my lack of knowledge. But we are still stoked to have it and can't wait to make some great memories with the family in it. And hey, maybe my inexperience can cause either a good giggle out of you old hats at this, or at the very least a disgusted head shaking

Yes you are riding on a real bus chassis Gillig. The engine is most likely a Detroit series 40 330 hp. I have a 1998 but 36 foot.

Looking through the manual, it seems I have the Series 40 8.7L 330HP, not the 7.6L I thought it had.

Good luck finding all your issues. I hope they are all minor.

The chassis and motor you have are both bullet proof. You will never wear either one of them out in your life time.

Awesome. Thanks.
You don't happen to have a link to a House User's Guide do you? I have the chassis manual, but not the house manual.

Hi, I too have been following along as a new CC owner of a 1998 Allure 34-M that we purchased with no manuals or brochures whatsoever. I called CC and was told that Maria no longer worked there. Also, finally received a call back from Greg who said that we could purchase the manual for $300.00 or $150.00 for a pdf version but it won't be available till mid March because of the move.
Does anyone have any suggestions for another source for this manual? Or should we just wait and bite the bullet at $300.00?

Not to shure but Tonya was also a big help with me when I was looking for a coach and getting brochures. I wonder if after Winne took over they cleaned house? I know Maria was still there a couple of months ago.
As far as getting manuals I have no idea.

My rear lights were showing signs of age and swapped them out to led.

Welcome, we are newbies (a little less than a year) but have loved every minute of our country coach adventure. A few small issues and the refrigerator going out, but other than that we cant find enough time to spend in our 2nd home.
