New TV

Hello, I have a 2003 Allure. I want to change out my original TV's for new flat screens. Has anyone done this conversion? I could use some help, please.

Lots of YouTube videos on the removal, etc. Can't help with the wiring part. Going that route myself at some point in the future.

We did on our 2005 5er. Measured the width and height of the opening. Got the biggest LED tv we could find to fit the opening. Went from a 27 to 32" in the salon. Bedroom not quite as drastic.

After the CRT was out figured the best way to attach the new TV's. One we used the stand and the other built it in. I installed a strap mechanism for both to secure them when travelling.

The old TV's had HDMI connections so no worries for new LED.

My TV Install

When I bought my 2001 Intrigue the TV's were already upgraded. The job looked like it came that way. It was done by David's Cabinets in Junction City. You can't tell that it isn't original. RV TV Gallery

I have done 3. In all 3 cases I mounted the TV to an aluminum frame I fabricated, 2 of these are show in my iRV2 blog.
