Newbie 97 Intrigue Owner - Exhaust brake switch question

Hi Forum, we bought a 97 Intrigue a few months ago and I am still trying to figure out how to activate the exhaust brake. I looked at the documentation, and it shows a Pac Brake installed. The schematics do show the switch at the driver position. There is a toggle switch that has an odd symbol near where the light switches are on the driver's left. Is that the exhaust brake switch? It is the only switch that I don't know the function for, so just looking for confirmation.

The exhaust brake is designed to work in conjunction with the Allison Transmission. When you have the switch turned on and take your foot off the throttle, you should feel (and hear) the exh brake go into action. If it is working. They do require periodic maintenance so they don't seize up.
However, as stated, it does work in conjunction with the trans. So with the switch turned on, it will cause the transmission to downshift as you are slowing down. Even if the exhaust brake is seized up and not working.
It will only function when you take your foot off the throttle and will not come on with the Cruise Control on. So, with the switch on while going down the road, take your foot off the throttle, tap the brake to disengage the cruise and see how it reacts. You should feel the brake working. If the PAC is working you will also hear a change in the exhaust sound.
Mine is controlled by the rocker switch in the photo.
It does not hurt to leave the switch on but can be a pain in traffic I have found. Suit yourself on that.

My rig is a little older but the EB will work with the cruise control on.

It will only be effective between 30 and 65 MPH.

My transmission is programed to downshift through the gears to second gear but without over-reving the engine when the throttle is released and the exhaust brake is engaged.

I find the best way to determine if the brake is working normally is to release the throttle with the switch off above 30 mph and note the reactions. Usually the rig will just slow down.

Then, with the switch on, repeat the process. You should note a fairly quick downshift and your exhaust brake light illuminate.

The EB will slow the rig on a steep downgrade, but gravity is stronger than the EB. So, the Allison will upshift to protect itself if the rig gains speed. You will then want to use your service brakes to regain the lower speed you want.

The flapper in the exhaust pipe will need to be lubricated if you do not use the brake frequently. It can freeze in the closed position and you will have greatly reduced engine performance. Been there, done that.

I can't find the switch for water pump 98 country coach intrigue, any thoughts

My water pump has two switches. One is on the passenger side above the windshield of the control panel. The second one is in the bathroom to the left and above the toilet.
