Newbie with 2004 Inspire 36 Quad

Hello to all. We have traded our beloved 2003 Itasca Horizon 34 for what we hope will be a coach that will provide us many more enjoyable RVing miles. From most of what I have found in my research the CC is the right direction for us. I guess time will tell.

We don't actually pickup the "new" coach until next week, and I suspect I will have questions shortly thereafter. As for now I have only three questions and appreciate in help or thoughts:

Where is the antenna end of the CB pre-wire located?

Does anyone have the TireMinder system and if so what has been your experience?

I had a Saf-T-Steer on my Itasca but note they do not offer one for this model. Is that because of the independent suspension? I liked the product and was in hopes of adding it to the CC, but perhaps it will drive better.

Thanks in advance.

Congratulations. I don't think you will go wrong in your decision.
In my opinion you will not need a Safe-T-Steer.
The CB pre-wire should be under the dash on driver side.
Good luck, stay safe and keep us posted.

Welcome to the world of cc. Wizard is right. I think you will find it so much superior to what you had just the way it is.

Thanks for the welcomes and encouragements. You probably all have been there--the apprehension on major decisions of this sort.

Re CB--I was hoping for info on the ANTENNA end as I know from previous posts where I am likely to find the radio end.

Thanks again.

Russ,

Welcome and congratulations on your new coach.
Can't speak to your questions except that you won't (if you do something is wrong) need any steering aids at all. Your coach should drive like a dream.

Make sure to also join and post to
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/...s/messages?o=1

And check out the CC clubs

Country Coach International
Country Coach Friends Incorporated

And for great parts and troubleshooting help

Oregon Motor Coach Center
Country Coach Corporation

Anyhow, welcome to IRV2 and Country Coach

Luck,
Bob

Bob--

Thanks for all the pointers, and the encouragement on "the drive". Of course part of the reason for the Safe-T-Steer was handling but the other part was safety should a tire failure occur. Be that as it may they do not offer the unit on the CC, though I believe RoadMaster has a similar product that is offered on the CC.

Thanks again for the response and tips.

Russ and Anita - Country Coach makes a fine motor home. We have had ours about 2 1/2 years. Ours came with a CB already in it. If you have the coach number you can call CC in Junction City OR to ask them if yours came with built in wires or antenna. I suspect after driving yours a short time you will not think about putting in Safety Steer. I cannot be 100% certain, but very likely you don't need it. We don't on ours. In the event you ever have a blowout don't slam on the brakes. Watch the Michelin video that is on the internet.

Welcome to the CC group.

Welcome to the CC group.
Thanks, Bob. We pick up the CC this Friday and begin the drive to Moab Utah where there is a FMHA/Jeep Club rally beginning on Sunday. I can't wait to experience what sounds by all accounts to be a much improved ride and handling coach.

Regarding the CB, the coach does have the CB prep "kit", and the antenna end must be somewhere behind the upper cabinets on the DS corner, perhaps buried in insulation as one owner found to be the case.

Again, thanks to all the respondents.

(And I do see I need to change my "signature" info!)
