Angry Norcold fridge recall

We have a 2005 Allure that has had the recall sensor kit replaced 5 times. Norcold has had us run a dedicated ground wire to the battery, the fridge went out 2 months later. Then they had us move the ground wire to the chassis, 3 months later,it went out. This time they had us put a stainless steel plate in front of the sensor, will find out what happens. Has anyone had this much trouble with their fridge?

I have. 4 times was the charm for us and we had the engineers at the Thetford Plant in Ann Arbor MI. Run a dedicated ground to the chassis and that cured the problem now for 3 years. There was no charge and the gave us about 500 bucks of Thetford stuff. You may not be grounded properly. I still carry a jumper wire just in case as I NEVER had any luck resetting those boxes.

As a foot note, make sure that box is mounted where NO water can get to it.

Define patients: adj. 1. Bearing or enduring pain, difficulty, provocation, or annoyance with calmness. 2. Marked by or exhibiting calm endurance of pain.
All mine had to do was hit 52degs, fans never stopped running and it was out the door. Installing a RR frig was one of the best upgrades so far going on 3 years.
