Norcold Refer won't turn on!

Taking a trip south and went to turn on my Norcold 4 door refer and nuttin! I have power to the unit and while checking, I noticed a red LED light on a black module that I believe was installed during the Norcold 1200 recall. I don't recall seeing that red light before, but I forget what I had for lunch the day before! Any ideas before I call the repair man?

Norcold Refer won't turn on!

That red light indicates that the unit has been disabled. Sometimes it's caused by water when washing the RV, or it could mean that the cooling unit failed. Check to see if there's any yellow residue on the cooling unit or an ammonia smell .

Here's an old thread that explains how to reset it with a magnet if you're sure it was from water.

So, got a magnet, placed it over the module, heard a relay click, turned on the refer, waited 3 hours and freezer seems to working fine, but the refer, not! What's my next step?

Sounds like a Samsung install, one of the best moves we made 3 years ago.

I just had the same problem but I did the Amish cooling unit conversion last week. I thought about the residential but didn't want to have to add batteries since we boondock at the beach. It cost me $1300 but cheaper than new and I did it in a day with help

Hopefully when you post again it will be cold. These units take a lot more than 3 hours to cool and the more you open the doors , the longer it will take.

You're welcome. Hope it was in fact the water and not another issue. Please keep an eye on it.
