Poor water pressure in Shower

I have a 2005 Magna, have good water pressure in kitchen and bathroom sinks, but very low pressure in shower, have replaced shower head, changed water filter, and I always use a water softener. Any ideas on how to get higher pressure in the shower?

Most of the new shower heads have a water saver in them. I removed the one in mine and it improved big time.

Try taking the shower head off and test the pressure. If it improves, it's in the shower head, most likely a restrictor which you can remove. If that is not the problem you can always turn on your water pump to get better pressure.

Even with the shower head off, the pressure is very low, have also tried it with the water pump instead of with city water, same story. Very low pressure it just dribbles out of the pipe even without a shower head.

Check the shower valve, look for a restriction or the mixer not lining up. I had an issue with the valve (a small bell shaped item that does the actual mixing of the water), the bell broke. You need to take the mixer valve apart to find the part.

At least with our problem it was a readily available part (found it at ACE). They had a rebuild kit, apparently it is a common problem.
