Possible Purchase 2006 Country Coach Magna 630

Thinking real hard about this one.

2006 Country Coach Magna 630, 4 slides, 51K miles on a 525 Cat diesel.

Will have to fly cross country to see it. The price is well, way too good to be true (below wholesale) IMHO from a dealer that I can't seem to find many reviews on.

So.... Is there anything about this vintage that I should know? I'm familiar with the brand and know they built fabulous coaches.

Thanks

Just wait. There will be people telling you about bad radiators, old tires, belts, hoses, full maintenance records, oil analysis's, fogged windows and everything in between.

The '06 Country Coaches were still in the "good" coach era. If it suits you, it will make a great coach.

I'd try to do some more checking on that dealer before you go flying across the Country.

Been working on that. Most of what I find is folks talking about price. They seems to be known for that. Especially new coaches.

Have also seen some say they are great for getting service work done.

Just not seeing anything about them selling used highline.

No. Very similar but knock another HUGE chunk off that price.

NADA says:
Average Retail: $291,750
Low Retail: $242,150

This one is under $180 and photos look good.

Well if it is on the West Coast or near, you may want to contact Kevin Waite and perhaps have him do a full inspection for you before you would consider heading across county. Kevin is a former CC tech and now has his own RV repair business in Junction City, OR. Kevin is knowledgeable and reliable and many folks hire him to do professional coach inspection.

Thanks. It's eastern USA. But will be putting in a call to Kevin as well as the folks @ CC service in Oregon tomorrow.

It's more chassis/engine and body issues I want to be aware of. Known defects in that model, not just the general wear and tear stuff. Consumables are a given when it comes to buying any used coach. I plan to have a full inspection done before finalizing any deal with anyone. Always good to have someone without a dog in the hunt giving things a good look.

Just heard back from the dealer and they are getting me some video and more pix tomorrow.

Not sure if you saw this one either. Same year, model, not sure why it's listed so cheap.

There are all kinds of reasons for pricing. I see attractive pricing when someone wants a deal fast and I see incredibly high prices that may still be listed for over a year. It could be a consignment and they want out now. The only way to move a coach quickly is price. When I bought mine we bought on a Wednesday and the owner caught a plane
out of the country Friday. He had to sell before he left so was priced accordingly.

We're taking delivery of an '09 Magna from Premier RV as was stated above. We got it for less than NADA wholesale and that was $50,000 under NADA retail to begin with.

Two years ago I saw a couple of 2006 Magnas advertised for less than $200k, and Motorhomes of Texas just sold two 2006s, one advertised at $199.5k, and the other for $194.5 k. You should not have any trouble finding a 2006 Magna for less than $200k. That 42' coach in Memphis looks good from the pictures, but like any used coach, it needs a thorough inspection.
