Princess 2277 in Magna

Have that cooktop in our '09 Magna. Was out doing some stuff and decided to try and light it since we've never had the chance.
Turned small burner knob to on and pressed it down and it lit almost immediately. Turned it off after a a couple seconds and tried the large one. Would not light, so I tried the small one again and it wouldn't light again. Now neither one will light and I don't get any gas smell. Tank is about ¾ full and is turned on. I also turned the hand valve off and then on slowly with no change. Where is the solenoid controlled from since I need to check that next?

Sometimes I have to turn off the LP Detector, wait a few minutes, then turn it back on. Sometimes this will get things flowing.

Also on ours, their is a switch by where they hook up the hose to add more LP to the tank, it also can effect flow.

Those are my two shots at helping you!

Best, and let us know what it turns out to be,
Smitty

I'm sure they turned off the propane when they worked on your coach, so try what Smitty said; turn the LP detector of and then on again.

This happened to me on my 05 Essex; the tank showed 2/3 full, but no burners will lite. As it turned out the tank was empty and the gauge was faulty! Could this be the case?

Nope, propane was on when I tried to light it.

As Smitty said, try turning the LP detector off and on again. It will chirp a few times and they you may hear the solenoid valve click to allow gas to flow.

My LP leak detector is mounted near the floor near the fridge. It will be at floor level somewhere.

I pulled the fuse and checked it with a VOM, it was fine. I then went and turned off the propane and SLOWLY turned it on again. Still no go. Gauge on the tank and the VMS both show full too. And still won't light plus no gas smell so no gas is getting through.

Right now I don't even have time to work on it! Both cars need brake jobs plus Dr's appts and work! Wanted to get away for the weekend as the grandson doesn't have school Friday but with the broken shocks and no way to replace them in time I guess we'll stay home and get the stuff done if the weather co-operates!

Assume all batteries disconnected by cat so something did not come on properly.

Review your manual for full shut down start up process or maybe battery change.

If no gas flow then valve not opening someplace but finding valve and control are issue.

Valve should be close to tank and sensor usually under fridge.

Good luck!
