Questions about s 2006 Country Coach Inspire 360

Another returning RVer here, I'm looking at buying a used 34' 2006 Country Coach Inspire 360 and am interested in hearing about any specific points I should pay special attention to as we look at the, new to us, 2006 Country Coach Inspire 360. Anyone out there with any experience in one of these coaches? Thoughts or recommendations on specific points that are likely to fail or need close attention are especially of interset to me. THANKS lot and I look forward to hearing some recommendations from the wisdom off this group! Always a lot to learn here.

Hi Jim! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I don't know anything about that coach but hopefully others will be able to help!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Thanks for all the kind responses.

I don't know the specific model of engine but believe it is a Caterpillar C9 (400 H.P.) and the unit has 53,828 miles on it. I haven't had a chance to look at the actual unit yet but will in a few days so I have no idea what service records are available for it. What I'm looking for is general information, about specific things I should look for or be aware of in this particular type of coach. I'm off to a good start with this group, I can see!

Jim
Here are a few things to check.
1. Does it have a wet PTO a must in my book.

http://www.jdrv1.com/sitebuildercont...s/pto-101a.pdf
2. Has the radiator been changed to a Copper & Steel.
3. Has the frig been changed.
4. Check the windows for fogging.
5. If records, how often has the Motor oil been changed along with fuel filters, the C-9 Cat HEUI pump likes clean oil and fuel.
6. Trans filters, have they been changed.

This is just a few things to check.

I have no idea what a "wet PTO" is. Can anyone educate me on this topic?

I guess the Title above asks my question.

Wet PTO means the drive to the hyd pump is lubed by the engine oil and doesn't require yearly maintenance. Dry PTO means that it must be taken apart and lubed yearly.

Wet PTO

JAA,
A wet PTO (power take off unit) is lubricated by the transmission fluid.
All the information you have received is very pertinent.
I have a 2005 Inspire 330 with the cat c-9 400hp engine. Itís a great engine, but as already stated, the heui pump likes clean oil. If you are buying from a private party you should be able to get maintenance records. If the oil was changed annually or every 8 to 10k miles you should be good.
A few other potential issues are signs of water intrusion & rodent intrusion.
If the coach has been well cared for, it should give you many more years of reliable service.
