Raising head of bed

Curious if anyone of my fellow CC owners have devised a way to elevate the head of the bed. In our previous coach, a Winnebago Journey with a north-south queen bed on a hinged platform, I was able to fashion a ramp of sorts to progressively elevate the head of the bed by about 4".

We have been spoiled by our king Tempurpedic bed at home that allows us to raise the head and feet separately. When we sleep in the coach now, we try to get comfortable with pillows but it isn't the same as being able to elevate the top third of the mattress. Our Allure does have the hinged platform but not sure what I did in the Journey will work in this case.

If you want the bed to be permanently tilted, why not get a piece of plywood and make tapered 2 X 4 blocks to tilt it up a bit?

I built a two piece ramp for our old MH so I could slope from 3 inches to 0. The gap at the hinge was about 1/4 inch to allow the storage to be accessed. I just put the saws away from making a ramp for our new 5th wheel. It is 60" by 29" and just sits on the top part of the platform this time.

Find a lift chair at a resale store like Salvation Army. Be sure the lift mechanism works. Take motor & frame off chair. Put chair in trash barrel. Take off plywood top of bedftame. Take circular saw & cut across wherever you want the bed to flex, add a piano style hinge. Attach necessary bracing. Position lift motor arm to bed. Temporarily attach other end to floor. Secure bottom portion of plywood to bed. Plug it in for trial. Make necessary adjustments. Secure everything well. That's what I did & it works!
