Replacing coolant hose as Preventative Measure

I have a 2000 CC Intrigue with just over 100000 miles and I am considering finding a qualified service center to inspect and replace any hoses that need to be replaced. I am wondering if anyone has replaced all hoses as a precaution or is that a recommended practice. I have only had one hose fail in the 16 plus years I have owned the mh and that was one of the steering/cooling fan fluid hoses connected to the cooling fan, that failure was due to it rubbing against another hose causing it to rupture. All those other steering fluid hoses looked ok with no weathering or wear.

Well the safest response is to tell you to replace all the hose forthwith!

I have replaced none so far at 21+ years. But I do the squeeze test occasionally to determine if a hose should be replaced.

I replaced all the large radiator hoses at eleven years, I think there's about four or five. I used silicon hoses as a replacement. I was doing a radiator flush and coolant replacement at the time. At the same time I replaced the heater hoses. I also installed four gate valves at the input and output of the dash heater and hurricane heating system. If any of of the heating hoses fail, I just shut the valves off until a repair is made.

We did preventative replacement at between 10 to 11 years of age too. Went with Gates regular hoses.

If your coach was built for Pre ULSD fuel. Also change out your rubber diesel fuel lines. Say to the generator and the hydro hot. As they will have preciosity problems that could result in fires.

Best,
Smitty
