Battery bay support tray removal and replacement

Well the acid and fumes trashed my 1999 Intrigue Battery support tray. I cut all the old supports out and we welded in an entirely new bay. We used 1X2 11gauge steel for the supports. I just brushed on a 2 part poly-urethane hard coat system called Raptor to "hopefully" protect the new steel from the rigors of battery support.
