Safe Combination

Hi All
We just purchased a used (new to us) 2004 Intrigue. It has a safe in the rear closet, but we don't have the combination for it, also I can't make out any details of the manufacture. Does anyone know how to get the entry combination so I can reset it? I tried emailing CC, but after three weeks no response.
Thanks

Try digging in the paperwork that came with the coach.

We found the paperwork instructing how to open the safe, then we needed to find the safe, took an hour or so, hidden under a floor panel under the passenger seat, darn thing was empty %^&$

Ours has something like turn left 5 times, stop on a number, then right to 0 to open.

Then take to locksmith to have set to whatever.

Not sure on the newer units, may be best off to visit a local "safe store", some locksmith who sells safes and look for one that is the same.

They may be able to provide the as shipped combo for yours, or they may be able to get yours open, or provide a replacement.

If you can not find the paperwork, or contact the previous owner, you will need a professional can opener (What safe crackers are called)

Try a good locksmith.. They either have someone on staff, or will know who does.

At the very least they should be able to ID the box for you.

Another thing: Most modern safes have user re-settable combinations, Now, I can not speak for the former owner of your coach, but if it was me I"d be re-setting to some easily recalled "Default' like 0-0-0 or 1-2-3 or some such. But that is me,

This is for safe made by "Phoenix" model "EDL21"
If it the push button type....here is what you do..
push the button below the #7...it's marked with a "C"...
Push 1234....Then push the button below the #9..it's marked with a "#"
Turn the knob clockwise and door should open...
Hopefully the batteries are not dead....
I have a direction sheet I can send you as a PDF file it the above works
Just let me know...

Our safe had the manufacturer written on it . . . it was by Phoenix Safe http://www.phoenixsafeusa.com/contact.html . I tried contacting them, and they told me that they had no info. I contacted the dealer we bought it from, and he tracked down another dealer who had had the coach, and eventually called the original owner who gave us the code! I actually could have contacted the original owner myself, because he did a lousy job of removing all his personal information from the coach records - is that a possibility for you? Otherwise, try a locksmith!

Thanks all for the ideas. I'll take a look this week and see if any of your ideas work. It's better then anything I came up with.
Thanks again.

Ramblin That is an option. LOL As long as I can keep the damages to a minimum.

Safe Comination

OK, I tried all suggestions from the forum with no success. But, did take a couple of pictures to see if anyone can identify the safe. Maybe with that way I can find the manufacture and get the over ride combination. I also sent an email to Country Coach two weeks ago with no response.
Thanks
Walt

I really don't know, but, it looks like it may be a "Diplomat" safe. Here's a current model: diplomat safe

There is a place to request lost codes on this site: diplomat SAFE

Hope this helps!

It seriously looks just like ours from Phoenix Safe. Did you try contacting them? There's always a locksmith . . .

I was down at the coach yesterday and tried everything presented here on this forum and a few other things to no avail. I did find out that it's not to hard to remove the safe, so that is an option. Thanks for the information on the Diplomat safe, I'll try that now and at the same time try Phoenix safes. I'm going to give this one more try then bring in a lock smith as a last resort.

Thanks to everyone for your ideas and help on this.
Walt
