Security Alarm Switch

I have a 2000 Country Coach Magna that we bought about 2 weeks ago. I was not aware it has a security alarm but found out when it went off this afternoon. Not only did I not know it has an alarm but now I can't figure out how to turn it off other than switching off the house batteries. The only reference I can find is the schematic which shows a Alarm Switch under the dash - found it but only has 2 positions, Normal and Doors Only - no Off position. I tried both positions - no success. The schematic also shows a Dis-arm Program switch in the Steering compartment in front of the left wheel well. Both my wife and I has searched every inch of that compartment and cannot find a switch or the alarm system control box which is also supposed to be in there.

I am hoping someone that has or has owned one of these can tell me where the switch is or how to shut it off. Thanks in advance!

If yours is like ours, the program/disarm switch is under the dash; a push-button type. Ours is just dangling at the end of the wires to which it is connected. The control box is nearby, close to the steering column but still in the dash area.

If you don't have a key fob transmitter I'm not sure how you would go about arming/disarming the alarm. However, it is probably a Crimestopper brand alarm for which documentation exists on their website Crimestopper or you can call them at 800-998-6880.

Thank you for the information. I was able to locate the fuse in the electrical bay (in the 1st basement compartment) and deactivate the system. I still need to locate the control module so I can get a model number and hopefully get a replacement remote from the manufacturer.

I know this is a late reply but just in case it helps.
I bought a 2005 Allure and found that the remotes had been missing for 5 years. A quick call to Country Coach and I had a replacement controller with key fobs on the way. It is unclear why a new controller was required but it was not very expensive.
