Silverleaf install

Looking for some help. We have a 98 Affinity and would like to install a Siliverleaf unit. My problem is locating the 6 or 9 pin connector I have looked all over under the dash and under the trans selector and switch cover on the left side of the drivers seat. I did locate a 12 pin connector in the electrical compartment on the drivers side in front of the wheel. But after talking to Silverleaf they are not familiar with that plug. I have also called Country Coach and they looking for a solution. Anyone out there run into this problem?

I doubt you have the connector you are looking for. On my 2000 Magna, the previous owner connected the JIB to the rectangular transmission connector. I had to do the same thing on my previous coach so I recognized the wiring.

Someplace on the Silverleaf site is a document with how to connect to the transmission plug. I used to have the document but recently upgraded to a new computer and I haven't found that file. Try going back to Silverleaf and tell them you need to connect to the transmission connector and they should be able to help you.

If you have a CAT C10, the included engine file is not correct. You will retrieve torque values higher than the engine can generate. I don't know if any other parameters are incorrect but I assume the horsepower will be reported incorrectly. I've sent Mark the correct data for my CAT C10, 385HP engine but he has failed to develop a corrected data file. I am really disappointed that Silverleaf has not corrected the engine file.

I run VMSpc on a Microsoft Surface Pro with Windows 8.1 operating system. My JIB is the USB box. I would like to have the bluetooth box but I'm not going to spend the money for it.

Oh, if you do request help from Silverleaf and you have a CAT C10, ask for an update to the engine file. Perhaps someone else requesting the file will motivate them to publish a corrected file.

If you have a Cummins make sure it is an electronic version. My engine is the first electronic version. The plug can be hidden well under the dash. It probably has a cover on the connector and may be difficult to find. It is probably 6 pin. The mfgr should be able to find out for you.

Thank you guys for getting back to me on this. Pete I have a C12 Cat. Vern at Oregon Motorcoach Center gave me the info to look behind the kick panel to the left on the drivers side down low under a bundle of wires and there it was I had looked all over the underside of the dash and was ready to give up! It has a cap marked Diagnostic Connector but you are right its the 12 pin square Allison plug and has 4 wires. Silverleaf said they can work with that.
I ordered the adapter cord and the software info for the C12 425hp so hopefully I will get what I need. I've been trying to decide what notebook or tablet to use sounds like you use Microsoft Surface and that works for you so I will check into one of those.
