Silverleaf VMS 240 dl

Hi I have a CC Affinity and the Silverleaf 240 DL display in the dash is getting a bit off kilter. I am looking to purchase a replacement and they are out of production. Can anyone provide information on where I might find one? It does not matter what make or model of coach it came from. They can be reprogramed. Please advise.

The 240 went out of production because the source for the displays dried up. If you want a direct replacement then you should Google "RV salvage yards" and start calling. A lot of them were made but the end of their useful life is the failure of the display. If you haven't talked to the good folks at Silverleaf then you should try that as well.

Consider using the Silverleaf VMSpc program for a windows 10 tablet computer. After checking out the system, if you have questions come back and ask. Many of us are running this system.

Here are a couple of guys to call. Both are x CC employees that have their own businesses repairing CC's. They might have a lead for you. Both are in the Junction City area.

Or you could go all out with the glass dash.

I have an older glass dash and am limited to the installed gauges already there. The beauty of the VMSpc is you can pick your gauges and sizes and position them where you want. On one coach just double sided taped the tablet over the analog gauges. Left the air tank pressure gauges uncovered because they are not read by the ecm. at $ 400 + a cheap windows tablet, a great deal.

Still need vms 240

Hi Unfortunately as I see it I still need the 240. It supports tire pressure monitoring, generator, and Inverter controls that the vmspc and glass dash does not. The external controller for the inverters (2) is no longer available. So changing this out also involves changing the 2 inverters, support hardware and a new tpms. So If I can I would like to avoid all that costly stuff if I can. Any advise would be helpful.

Thanks

I replaced my 200 with the 240 about 9 years ago due to a failed display on the 200. I was not aware of either poor lifetimes with the 240 display or there lack of availability. I'm going to be really pissed if the display on my 240 fails and Silver Leaf has made no arrangements to replace the display. 12 year display lifetime in today's world is not impressive.
