Question Slide adjustment

I have a problem with the windshields poping out in my 2001 CC affinity bed and breakfast. Been told that the front cap needs to be reworked after describing my situation. I was curious and measured the difference in the windshield pillars with the front slide in and then out. The difference from the vertical is 1/4" , with the upper portion of the pillars shifted to the right when the slide is in. The slide does not come in parallel with the side of the coach. At the point where the slide wall is about close on the side of the coach, the bottom is over 1 1/8" further out than the top. This causes the top of the slide to close at the top before the bottom closes tight. Is this normal?

yes, it is normal. this insures a good seal at the top. almost all rv slide rooms are like this.
