slide becoming un-alined

Has anybody noticed the aft end of the slide becoming un-alined. After careful exam. we found that the framework that supports the slide as-well as the basement boxes has rusted and broken lose. This happened to a 1998 intrigue 40 footer. The slide is the large one that has wndows in each end. This condition is vissable by looking at the paint side lines with the slide retracted.

I have seen slides that had to be completely rebuilt,
because of the seals not being kept up. Water gets into the inside,
and completely rots out the metal. Expensive to fix.
