Starting Battery

Ihave a friend who has a 2000 Intrigue, 350 HP Cummings, replaced starting battery less than a year ago, now it doesn't have enough power to start the coach. It's a 1425 CCA Battery. Is that powerful enough, or should he have one with more CCA?

that is the same size as i have, no problem yet. make sure his charging/maintaining system is robust. a few times in hungry mode with extended period will destroy it.

Plenty of CCA to start the ISC. First thing to do is separate the battery from the coach and use a good charger to charge it. Then do a load test.

If the coach is plugged in all the time, is the Echo charger charging the chassis battery?

That battery should be plenty for an ISC although the starter may be going too. Had that happen with our '02 Dutch Star.
I don't know about the ISC but some ISX's start hard and need a Denso geared starter. I replaced all four of our 925 CCA batteries and it is still slow to turn over.

For the life of me I can't see why Country Coach used two 8d 1400 cca batteries to start my little 330hp Detriot.
