Techma Green Light, Happy Campers follow up
I had posted previously that in spite of judicious flushing of my black tank, I could not get the green light to display on my Techma panel. I tried various techniques recommended by folks.....Dawn detergent, Calgon, white vinegar.
I got some Happy Campers and used it (added to the tank before a short trip). Green light came on.
Just a follow up to say we continue to enjoy the green light until the tank gets to about 40% full. I don't use the Happy Campers when we are on full hook up and in one place since I am needing to dump about every 2 days. However, I add the stuff before departure and travel. So far, it seems to work really well keeping the tank walls clean.

A friend with a new Fleetwood with macerator toilet and dump system was having all kinds of issues with odour and system function. I gave him some HC to try. After a month or so, he came back and said his problems went away and he bought the large tub of HC.
I have used HC as directed on the jar for years. Never have issues with my holding tanks, sensors or dump valves. Once in a while I add a scoop to the Grey tank leaving it about half full before departure and dump it at the next stop. Again, no smells, no issues. This is a good product and very cost effective compared to some others I had tried prior to HC.
BTW, I have no stake in the company, just a satisfied customer.

Normal HC is great maintaining functioning Grey/Black tank indicators. Our tanks probes (We have the older E 1/4 1/2 3/4 F lights.) are shot. We just changed to SeeLevel, and dang if the Black Tank would not reflect tank level.
We dug out the HC Extreme we carry for emergency cleaning. Dumped the Black, refilled it ~ 2/3 - 3/4. Added the maximum amount of HC Extreme recommended - and drove from Seven Feathers Casino in Oregon, to Flags City in Lodi. Lots of twisty I5 action in the northern part of the state !.
Got into Flags City, and read the SeeLevel which indicated 70% full Black. (The old Probe driven gauges are still active, and it indicated Red Lights on E 1/4 /1/ and Full - but the 3/4 indictor probe was working, and was not on !)
Dumped the Black, and SeeLevel showed 0%... The first time we've had a functioning Black indictor tank in probably 4-5 years !
I like HC products, and for those of you with a tough one, suggest trying the HC Extreme. Try it at least two times before giving up !
Best of luck, and may your tank indicators - indicate!!!

I guess I'm going to have to try the HC Extreme. My black tank gauge always reads 25% full with less than a gallon of fresh water in it.

My black tank is reading 100% full on Silverleaf, the green light is on for the techma toilet, and the electronic sensors installed in my water bay all ready 0% (after dumping). The Silverleaf issue just started this trip. Previously it would read 25% after a dump and never got above 75% (because I dump before that). Just got home from the trip, so going to try to do a tank flush and if that doesn't work, reevaluate the situation. Used to use HC in previous coach. May have to try some HC Extreme. Thanks for the tip.
