That's good to know! Were you winterized to some degree? Man that's cold...

Well...in the end I failed to make sure it was latched down before I headed home. I can't say what lead up to it becoming loose and flying off, but I can definitely say I did not check it, so...

When I stopped for diesel (remember your first time at the pump?! ), Jean told me she thought something was missing. "Whaaaa?"
Yep. Gone. I had to tape plastic over the hole this morning to keep the rain out.
Argh.

But it's a little thing. The first of...I'm not going there.

Sorry for that. Call RV salvage yards like Colaws or Visione to see if you can find a replacement.

BTW Is your fridge an RV fridge? If so, you might consider converting it into a residential unit and just seal the hole off. Someday you might want to go that route for a safety reason, sooner or later. If you look around and notice that some of later year CCs that came with a Maytag residential fridge there was no hole in the back.

It was my fault so I'll bite that bullet. Thanks for the recommendation; I found an identical unit in the same colors in Visone's lot and called them today. Waiting on a call back. I also messaged Premier RV in Oregon and they got right back to me with options and pricing. Wow, I see why they're so highly regarded.
I'm just happy I was cognizant enough this morning to put a towel in the hole and seal it up 'cause it sure did rain today. That would have been REAL dumb. Our fridge is a Kenmore residential unit but the icemaker water line is accessible through behind that panel so I'll replace it, letting me access it for winterization.

GO HAVE SOME FUN...

Oh, and did anyone mention the standard practice of new Country Coach Owner's, picking up the first round at 'Wherever USA!'... (So budget accordingly!!)

She's a fine looking rig. Now the real pressure begins - both of you agreeing on her nick name!!!

Go slow. Learn the systems. And unless it is an emergency, get several months under your belts before coming up with a list of items to fix, replace, modify to what you want... (Amazing the things we jumped into doing early - that today, well, turned out to not be that important after all...) Take your time!

Best to you,
Smitty

Ha! A round is the least I can do!

Several months will be tough. Jean wants to go to Ikea already. "NO!" lol

Thanks, Smitty.
