We have a 2000 40' Country Coach Magna. We would like to add a tire pressure sytem but don't which system would be the best. Ideas, comments?

Welcome to the forum! That's a beautiful coach you've got.

If you use our search function and type "TPMS" or "Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems" you'll find a week's worth of reading material.

My take away from most of that is that YES it's good to have one... No it doesn't replace regular inspections of your coach including your tires...and brands are a personal choice. We have had the Doran 360 for two years now and I would recommend that you look for something else. I've now had four sensors fail so you have to be able to do better than that

Do you have the Silverleaf system? If so, I would call and talk to Martin and see which TPMS theSilverleaf system supports. That would eliminate one monitor.

We have a Pressure Pro. Works fine. Our coach originally had a system that came with it that quit working. Honestly, I have mostly stopped using ours. The tires never loose any air so I just plug in the pressure pro about once a week to check cold pressure. I know many want to be able to monitor the air pressure while driving. I don't. Plus I did not feel like reading the manual enough to figure out how to adjust the point the Pressure Pro starts buzzing. I keep 110 in my tires. So after about an hour into the drive the pressure goes to about 122. The darn buzzer starts to go off then. My suggestion, only have tires that don't loose air.

I will likely become more careful if I ever have a front tire blow while at cruise speed. Until then, not so worried.

I have Pressure Pro and have it on all the time. It let me know that I had a tire going flat on my toad on the Alaska Hwy and I was able to get to a safe place to get off the road. I would not have known that I would have soon had a flat that may have been destroyed and could even catch fire. I'm a believer but only have experience with the Pressure Pro. They should not set off an alarm until way over inflated. Check the manual.
