I am planning to install a TV in the storage compartment for outside viewing. I do not want to invent the wheel so if anyone has good luck with a brand, model ECT. It would be helpful
thanks Carter

Welcome to the forum!

You'll find a lot of discussion on TV conversions and upgrades if you check out our search function. Tons of good stuff there.

As for the best model for and exterior entertainment center I don't think I've seen anyone come up with a clear winner. There's debate on whether "RV TVs" are really more rugged than anything else.... although I don't think many people will defend the additional cost.

I'm about to replace my exterior 26" with a 32". My plan is to purchase a fairly low end LED/LCD unit... probably from a big box store... and also purchase an extended warranty with it. I figure that I can get it replaced if it fails and by purchasing from a big chain I can return it wherever I am. I like the LED/LCD units mostly because of their very thin format and narrow frame margins... more screen and less frame taking up available space.

Good Luck...

Rick

Get a low end LED unit from a big box store. It will be brighter than a LCD or plasma.

We bought a Vizio LED from Walmart; EXCELLENT picture and very good pricing. And you are right the LED's are much lighter and more picture perspective. We are very well satisfied.
