upgrade to a residential fridge?

Our Norcold 1200LRIM (4 dr w/icemaker) just died -- amonia leak.
Rather than having the cooling unit replaced we are considering an upgrade to a residential fridge and was wondering if anyone has done this and who they had do the work and how much it cost.
I'm assuming that since we have a 200W MSW inverter we would probably need to upgrade that to a 3000W PSW type.
Any suggestions, etc. would be appreciated.
FYI -- while we are in Southern Nevada, we are willing to travel to Arizona, California or Oregon to have this done right.
Thanks in advance!

I don't know know about the refer refit, but the 200 watt inverter SB fine. We have a Residential Refer with a RS2000 watt Xantrex. It works just fine.

Assuming you meant that you have a 2000W inverter then you will be fine. Our GE Profile has been running on one for over 10 years.
My brother-in-law just replaced their Norcold with an RR the other day. We had a glass company come remove the windshield and took the old one out and put the new one in. The space requirement for the new RR was not quite there so they had to lower the fridge floor about 6" and open the sides by about 1/2". There were some PVC vent pipes that needed to be located but otherwise it was a pretty smooth changeover. This was not in a Country Coach but hopefully it will give you an idea of what to look for. They hired a very capable worker here in the Tucson area so if you would like his contact information to see if he would be interested in doing similar work for you I would be happy to provide it. Just contact me off-line.
