All mine have been missing since I bought the coach 4 years ago but I was told they did nothing of any value. I'd love to hear from anyone who knows if this is true or not.

Be aware there is a part number for the left side and one for the right side.

They donít affect the weep function, but help with wind noise. As they said there are left and right parts.

Gee, I had always thought that their primary function was to fall off so you would be forced to buy replacements every season!!

The windows sit on a tiny ledge in the frame. A rubber holds the glass against the frame. Water will creep past the rubber keeper and drain into the frame. The weep holes allow this water to drain out of the frame. If the weep holes are plugged, water can overfill the frame and then drain to the inside of the frame.

It won't do MACH 2, but I can get a sandwich and take a pee.

There is a benefit having the weep cover when a condition arises - in a rainy day water could run down through the rubber keeper, and supposedly drain out from the weep holes. When there is a strong cross wind, or with an angle, the wind could push the water inward ->going up->falling into the inner channel (refer to Waiter's illustration). Obviously no body likes it. With a cover on, that won't happen.

Before Winnebago took over CC in Junction City, I bought a few of those from CC. It was very cheap like $1.5 a piece.

Don/Joel - Anything done by CC is not to be made fun of... Shame on you!

Steven - Thanks for than rational post...

And yeah, they can be a PITA to no knock off!!!! Yep, to wind noise whistle reduction, especially on the weep holes towards the front passenger seats, when traveling. And yes, they do protect from the wind adversely blowing wetness where it is not wanted.

I long ago, started using a little dab of DAP Auto/Marine Sealant when placing them. I put it on the leading edge towards the front - with another dab on on the rear section - being careful to not get any where it can block the weep holes themselves. I find this helps adhere the Weep Hole Covers to the window more robustly.

Still easy to remove, and clean the Sealant off, when appropriate...

But, following on the irreverence of Joel, and Don - I will share that my DW called it my 'Mumbling exercise!'. (Seemed that whenever I was waxing the coach, or washing the windows - and accidentally knocked one of the Weep Hole Covers off. I'd mumble as I bent over to pick it up, and then 'talk to it' as I lined up the prongs to replace it into the Weep Holes... (I do believe that that, is an over exaggeration by my DW!).

Best to all, travel safe, have fun,
Smitty

Yes, if the weep hole is plugged, rain water will build up in the window frame and migrate down the interior wall.

Been there, done that!

SE-GI is not out of business, I called them the other day. They wouldnít sell to me as I am not a dealer or manufacturer.
