What causes foggy windows?
In our search for a country coach fogged windows are very common...
Other than just plain crummy mfg, wondering if there are any contributors like heat, cold, dry, humid some have way more than others with owners saying they have not replaced any. Inquiring minds????

Very common problem with Se-Gi windows. Seal between the panes is compromised and moisture gets in. Just had three more fixed last week, $1290. I only have two left that haven't been fixed or replaced in the almost 5 years I've owned it. I had two replaced with extra thick laminated glass so they will never need resealing.

I have seen other brand coaches with the snaky windows so it just isn't CCs. Haven't figured out why some snake and some don't. We picked the coach up in Aug '01 and had a failed window a couple of months later. The manufacture date on the window was June '01 and was replaced under warranty.
There are a bunch of repair companies out there and some attend rv rally's and will repair on site. I have had some repaired at a cost of $175 each. This was a couple of years ago and so far no repeat failures

The window thing is just something you have to accept across the board. Even residential home windows suffer from seal failure but are all getting better. As previously pointed out a permanent solution is replacing with laminated which eliminates the seal altogether. Fortunately as Don pointed out the problem is so common that there are a lot of service choices. I was happy with coach glass and the cost was cheaper then i was anticipating.

It's crappy engineering by Segi. End of story.

There's a company called p
Peninsula glass I think near Vancouver, Washington. They manufacturer windows for coaches and I believe they guarantee them for life. In talking with him about 10 years ago the explained in some technical detail that's SeGi's engineering was bound to fail in a coach application. PG engineers their windows quite differently. I think some of our group members have gotten windows from them and can speak to it. I can't recall the details. I just live with seal creep by ignoring it but if I were to address it I would get all new windows from PGm

I had eight windows done when I purchased my coach four years ago and have had no problems since. This might be due to the fact my coach rarely sees cold weather or humidity in the west though it is parked outdoors and experiences extreme heat in the summer. The company that did mine is auto glass boss in Mesa on main street. 480-962-3886. We usually get what we pay for but in this case it worked for me. They were just at the FMCA rally in Tucson and they are now $100 per window

Is it $100 per section or per window? I heard they are good...

Thanks Don. I asked about this because I checked with them last year, "Bobby Barbary" (owner or mgr?) told me $100 per section. If so, only is one window on the side of co-pilot chair with a single glass, all other windows are two sections, i.e. $200 per window...

I had both the fixed and opening dual pane windows on my drivers side removed and replaced with laminate glass. Cost was about $750.00
This was the only (and arguably, the most important) one that had early signs of fogging and I took a preemptive strike by resolving it permanently. Besides, I was there already to have my windshield replaced.
Darren Thomas Glass Company in Sebring, Florida did an outstanding job.
