Now that you mention it I do remember reading something about China, but then again it seems China is into everything in America. I suppose if it's just their money, not their materials and workers, that's OK. I believe that CC starting to build again would have a positive affect on all of us who own CC or are contemplating owning CC.

I also believe Newmar makes a great choice and they were high on my list along with Tiffin when I bought my used CC. I could not have afforded to purchase my coach new, but used brought the coach within my budget, and I am glad it did.

Newmar was our target when we were looking to trade up. We knew we would be buying a more complicated beast and wanted to know factory support was available. We were looking at 2005-06 Mountain Aires and Essex when we stumbled onto the Allure. I certainly knew of CC but had not put them on the list since they were 'out of business.' After looking carefully at the Allure, comparing it to MA's, Essex, and AC Revolution/Traditions we looked at, and discovering that CC was in business for parts and support, we did the deed.

If they start making them again I'd end up just waiting for used ones for several reasons.
They have to work out the whole process again and I suspect that first coaches off the line will have lots of bugs. If the economy takes another dive I suspect that they will too. They will also be way out of my price range new. As far as support on older CC's there are some excellent service centers in the same area as "Country Coach" that employ former employees of the original CC and do great work.

True there appears to be many service options in Oregon. Living in Virginia puts me at quite a distance. We do plan to make a trip out there later this year and will have Kevin Waite do a few things for us.

I decided to subscribe to Kevin's annual unlimited technical support (Butch Williams is also included in that package). I can do many fixes myself and so far, I likely saved in labor charges what I paid for the support.

Yes, they are a little off the beaten path for many of us. We now have our home base in Florida and as such, that is about as far as we could go for work. I keep telling the DW if she would just pick the right 6 numbers, we would be on the way to Oregon. So far she has refused.

Just my own opinion & understanding of many items mentioned in this thread:

Country Coach Corporation, located in the original factory in Oregon, employs several former Country Coach staff including technicians, provides full customer support to all CC owners, and is currently in full operation providing CC Consignment Sales, Maintenance Service, Repairs, Remodeling, and OEM Part Sales. Why would you want to take your CC anywhere else in the area?

CCC's pursuit of funding to begin building new coaches does include the EB-5 Program, which is NOT federally funded, only federally regulated and exists to stimulate the US Economy = Foreigners invest a specific amount of their money towards the growth of an existing US Company for a set period of time. Some US Government Rules and Regulations of the program include: All growth of the company remains in the US, and a certain level of hiring new workers must be met (US Citizens only). If the growth of the company is successful, the investors, in return, receive their original investment with interest earned and are granted a full US VISA.

Think positive! When Country Coach Corporation does begin building new coaches: the value of our currently owned coaches will increase, we will have more choices, newer coaches to choose from, will provide many additional employment opportunities in their local area that stimulates their local economy, and donít forget about the positive "Ripple Effect" it will have across the US with other companies that will provide materials and other services utilized in the making of the new Country Coaches!
