I have a 2000 Country Coach Magna. I am planing on upgrading my bedroom TV with a 26 inch LED HDTV. Above my old, original tv is what appears to be a photo cell. It is a couple of inches long and is threaded on the back side for mounting purposes. It has three wires coming out of the back: one for ground, one labeled +12, and one labeled "out". I do not know what it is or what it does. I need to know if I have to relocate it or if I can do away with it all together. If anyone needs pictures of it to tell me what it is I will e-mail them to you. You may contact me at jmeldrum@juno.com
Thank you for your help.

Do you have one that looks the same up towards the front of the rig? Could be the motion detector from you alarm system. Our 04 Allure has two such units.
Check in on the Yahoo CC User Group, and you will find someone that for sure will know. Or post in the CC section here.
Best,
Smitty

Perhaps it's a remote extender to allow you to control audio/video devices up forward with a remote from the bedroom? My Vectra is setup that way to allow control of the VCR and DVD player from the bedroom.

I have a 2000 CC Magna there are 2 remote sensors located in the corner TV compartment (1) remote extension for the VCR and (2) remote thermostat sensor, one is above, one is below in the boxed off area for the TV in my unit. I have found that while documentation for this unit in the CC supplied documents is very good it is not always 100% accurate. Feel free to PM if I can be of any assistance.

If the "out" wire is coax it could be a remote extender, it works with the remotes for the TVs, it receives the light and there may be another one in view of the other end.
It also could be alarm sensor as others have stated.
Look for any number or name and search that, you may find something that way.

yes you should have a small controller that lets you control the VCR from the bedroom. the Thermostat sensor is just a white plastic looking stub.

It is likely a remote extender. Go to where ever your dvd player, sat receiver, etc is and see if you don't find small black plastic devices mounted to these systems' IR receivers. They will have a wire attached to each that feeds back to another device that's attached to the IR receiver you discovered. Given DVD players and the like are mounted behind panels these IR extenders are common.
