What is this socket for?

Hello everyone. i found this socket inside my passenger side far rear storage bay. The bay has only a big air inlet and a few battery on/off switches. This socket has 3 paws, seems like exactly fitting any standard power extension cord female end to plug in. Does anyone know what it is for? To charge battery with 110vac?

Thank you Bruce. I have never thought about it but don't think I have the block heater on my engine. Hopefully someone can confirm it.

GlenB I had this kind of plug added to my Rv. It is a plug that I added to my galley area to plug in a electric heater. I would plug a ext cord to the 110 pedistal plug. I did not go thru the inverter!! So look for a plug in the rv that may be labeled somehow maybe say 110. Maybe engine heater!!!good luck on your search!!! Glen

Thanks Glen. No label but it does look like a 110v plug-in. Now I am thinking this may not be from manufacturer, maybe installed by PO.
Any CC owners out there have this?

if there is not out side 110 plugs and it looked on passenger side i say its just for 110 power for if you are out side

just plug some thing in if you have power then its for out side power for a TV or any thing you want when out side like lighting

if it is giving there is a some what big hold next to it push a 20 foot 110ac power cord and pull it out from under the RV close door and looks nice no one can see where it comes from

wish all my ac 110 where in bays and not installed in the side walls of the RV
water can get in the way down the road

On my 2000 Magna, the block heater is wired to the internal 110 volt wiring. There is a switch for the block heater on the driver's arm rest and a breaker in the 110 volt breaker panel located in the bedroom.

Having said this, I would suspect it is to a block heater. Can you locate the block heater and check for continuity between this plug and the block heater?
