Where is my Emergency Brake Buzzer

I admit that I have yet to get under the dash and look.

But perhaps someone already knows where the Emergency Brake buzzer is located on a '90s CC.

The dash light illuminates properly but no accompanying buzzer sound.

Dean, I don't know about 1995 but in 2003 and 2004 CC did not install a buzzer for low air pressure warning. I assume that is the buzzer you are talking about.

Good info, thank you.

However, I think I used to have one. Finding it is on my to do list from a long time ago.

Staying true to my repeated recommendations to other folks with questions, I read my Gillig and CC manuals.

A "chime" is mentioned in addition to the dash light warning indicator for air pressure below 65 psi.

I think the same chime is used for over temp alerts and under pressure alerts from other components.

I guess I need to test the chime in some manner other than the air pressure alert to be sure it is working. Then I will need to investigate the 65 psi alert.

I know on my freightliner, a whole slew of warning lights use the same alarm as the low air alarm. Not having a low air alarm could be hazardous to your health. If you have an issue, and you don't notice the light come on, you are going to be in for a sudden stop when the emergency brakes apply. My buzzer wasn't working when I bought the rv. I had to have it fixed in order for it to pass ministry certification reqd here in Ontario. That's how I know it is shared. Yours may be the same. Either way, Id be surprised if it isn't supposed to have an alarm for low air.

Good to know.

How did it get fixed?

My freightliner had the famous vdc bad soldering problem. It makes the gauges fluctuate up and down, so the air alarm would come on every time the air gauges dropped below 65 lbs. The previous owner had disconnected the alarm. We re-soldered the vdc which fixed the gauge problem. In the process of figuring out which wire ran the low air alarm, we realized the same buzzer does all the warning lights which require an audible alarm sound. We reconnected the alarm, and all was good. We found the power to the buzzer actually ran to a relay, and smaller wires ran to the gauges off the relay. My buzzer was located directly above the fuel throttle pedal under the dash. It was accessible from the floor area in front of the seat.
