Where is the water pump

My water pump is beginning to fail. Two questions: where is it located and is it a Shureflow?

Thanks for the help.

Most likely right behind the door on the left side of the plumbing bay. All I can say about this is "the nice thing about standards is there is so many of them"

Wow, compared to my old rig, that water pump would be a breeze to service or replace!!

Access isn't as good as the pictures implies. The access hole is about 6x10 and the pump isn't directly aligned with the opening but off to the side. It's doable but not what I would call easy. On my "upgrade" list is a better pump with higher flow rate than the current. If it was easier to get at I would have already changed it out.

Where Is the Water Pump

Thanks for your responses. I have pulled off both access panels on either side of the Swan wet bay panel. Can't see it on either side. I am going to have to pull entire panel to replace my dripping city water valve, so maybe I will be able to see it then.

You could try draining the water tank then turn on the pump and follow the sound. You should get close that way. The pump can run dry for a few minutes.

On my Allure 470, the pump is mounted on the compartment floor right behind the fresh water inlet. It is behind the panel. I have a whole house water filter behind a door on the left side of that compartment. If you open the door and look down, you can see the pump.

Where Is the Water Pump

Thanks for the information. My whole house water filter is on the opposite side of the coach in the same bay as the Aquahot.

Is the pump a Shurflow 2088, are the plumbing connections 1/2 inch NPT?

I believe the 2088 is no longer made and is available on Amazon but is there a superior model that will fit without major modifications?

Thanks again all for your continued support.

My factory pump puts out very low flow and poor pressure. If I had to replace it I would go with something with more flow and pressure. This same pump worked ok in my previous coach but that one had a much simpler plumbing system than my Intrigue. The longer runs might be the cause of the poor performance or something else I don't know about yet.

Be sure to check all your faucets (and the shower controls) for debris in the screens (also there may be a screen @ the pump intake connection from the fresh tank)
Before you spend the $$ for a new pump.

Pump placement on our coach, water manifold, vacuum toilet pump & 12v water pump compartment (compartment is behind right rear most bus door .

Where is the water pump

Well I found the pump, it was right in front of me, on the floor of the wet bay adjacent to the fresh water tank. It is hidden behind an L shaped plastic cover. In my vintage allure 470 it is on the left side of the bay.

I was unable to remove it due to the screws being corroded to the point that the Phillips threads immediately stripped. Time for my trusty dremel tool. I intend to replace all screws with stainless fittings.

I was able to get my hand in through a small port for water hoses and feel the pump.

I will post a photo or two for future reference.

Thanks again for the continuing assistance with my maintenance events.

Howard
