Which suspension do I have?

I have an appointment Monday to have the ride height reset on my 2005 Allure 470. Being in North Carolina it seems I'm in motorhome suspension hell. No one seems to know anything about my coach. I downloaded the ride height specification material another member has posted but there are several different suspensions listed for the Allure. Can anyone tell me how to figure out what I have?

Not an expert on CC, but as I recall they manufactured their own chassis.

I think if you post on the CC forum, they can give you a contact for some technical information from former CC employees.

Sorry I do not know our specific units heigh specs. But, worse comes to worse, a call to Country Coach with our coach number, and they should provide all of the specs needed for a full chassis alignment and ride height settings. May cost you money to get the info, but better then not getting it at all!

Best to you,
Smitty

Where in NC are you?

There is a dealer just outside Hickory named Carolina Coach. They were a CC dealer and claim to have some techs still there who are very familiar with them.

I had my ride height adjusted at Tom Johnson's in Concord but that was before they were bought by Camping World.

True, but they used "off the shelf" front and rear suspension sub assemblies. There will, or should be, tags on each with the make, model and serial numbers. I know there are on our front, and I'm told there are on the rear, I just haven't looked yet.

I would just call country coach with your build number and get the correct information for your records. They just sent mine when I ask but I do buy parts from them also. I have heard they sometimes charge $20 bucks or something but who cares if the information is correct.

My suggestion would be to never go to Tom Johnson ever again. I had a ride height valve go bad while on the road and the only game in town was Tom Johnson aka Camping World. Slapped three of them on and sent it out the door and none of the three are anywhere close to being adjusted correctly. After a week of trying to get these clowns to return my phone calls, which they finally did and told me to bring it back, two hour drive, I'm taking it somewhere else and paying them to do the job correctly. Tom Johnson was great, Tom Johnson Camping World absolutely sucks.

Thanks guys,
If it's not stamped somewhere, I'll give Country Coach a call.

Did you get the box of manuals plus the binders of info? You will find the specs for the front and rear suspensions there.

Might have come from CC with the info but it's not in my box, nor binders. I've had to go directly to the manufacturers to get mine.

My front suspension has a label inside the compartment under the drivers seat telling me what I have.
