Windows hard to slide

I have a new to me 2000 CC allure. It has low mileage and no full time use. Some of the windows are very difficult to slide open and closed. I also have the same problem with the Day/Night shades. It may just be due to a lack of use. Is there a product that one can use on the window slide felt that will lubricate them? Same for the shade strings?

Thanks

The Day/Night shades can be adjusted by loosening the screw that holds the string at the bottom and giving the string a little slack. With time and usage they will naturally loosen and have to be tightened, which may be what has occurred, someone has tightened them really tight.

I had a problem sliding my driver window and more due to lack of anything else on hand used baby powder in track. Free'd it up for a while!

I had one window on my previous MH that was hard to slide. I sprayed the track with silicone spay...it worked fine after that.
X 2 on the string adjustments on the shades. The plastic string holder at the bottom will eventually break with age. I found replacing them with metal sewing bobbins from WalMart worked perfect. A package of six was only a couple of dollars.

Do your day/nite shades have the bar across the bottom? If so, you have to pull that up ( remove the screws)and under there you will see some springs with the cord attached. Sometimes the cord has a loop tied in it to take up slack. Undo the knot and let a little slack out and retie the knot.

When you lift that bar up, watch out as the blinds will come down because there is no tension on them.
