Winterize questions

Have drained all lines, water heater, and blown out all lines.

Question? How do we deal with the washer dryer and the ice maker in the frig? Cannot figure out how to deal with these two items.

Thanks in advance

Ice maker (Norcold)-removed lower exterior access panel. Look for a solenoid with a water inlet & outlet line. Mine is white plastic. These lines have hose like connectors which screw off. Re-blow your lines to clear the supply hose. Let your ice maker cycle one time & that should do it.

Don't have a washer-can;t help on that.

I think you must use antifreeze in the washer/dryer. I would also be careful with the air. Air does not remove all the water in the lines and some low spots. After you have finished the small amounts of water left
inside the water line can flow to a low spot in large enough quantities that
it will freeze and may cause problems. Go out and buy about 4 gallons of
RV antifreeze and pour it into a 5 gallon bucket. Screw the hose into the
winterizing outlet, put the other end into the bucket, turn on the pump and then go inside and run thru all the faucets. Be sure to also do the toilets and put some in all the plumbing traps. For about $10.00 a year I would rather be same than sorry.

Just my 2 cents

Dick
