Wiring an electric brake module for car dolly

Never received a precise answer presented several months ago. Trying to wire a brake control module on our 2001 Intrigue. Only 4 wires to be concerned with, but the one I have a question about is the wire needed from front to back that activates the break. Need someone who owns a 2001 Intrigue and has done this installation to tell me if there was an extra wire run by CC at the factory for such a need as described?? Received various answers when asked awhile back....but now ready to do the install. It would be great if such a wire exists. ...thank you for youe insights.

A spool of wire and a handful of zip ties makes stringing a dedicated wire easy. Unless someone verifies there's one in place already, the time spent researching where the start and end of it is could be spent doing the job.

CC installs extra wires. On my 2000 Magna, there are 4 spare wires running from the engine compartment to the front run bay under the driver's seat. There are spare wire running from the front run bay to under the dash. Look at your manuals for a wiring list to see the wire numbers and different colors and gages of the wires.

Your problem will be finding the wires. Finding the ones in the front run bay are easy. My wires in the engine compartment are on the passenger side of the coach. The wires under the dash are behind the kick panel to the left of the steering wheel. Perhaps others with your model of coach will chime in.

I hooked up to my car hauler trailer yesterday for the first time and every time I touched the brake pedal the trailer brakes locked up. I found the 7 pin connector for the brakes was connected to the brake lights. I cut the wire and pressed on. There are 3 blue wires in the trailer wiring loom that Im going to trace and I bet I will find one under the dash to use for the electronic brake controller.

I ran into the same issue with my 2000 Intrigue and called Country Coach. Our year coaches DO NOT have the brake pre-wired. I ended up purchasing a remote wireless brake controller for mine rather than try to run 40 feet of wire.

on my 2000 intrigue, there are 2 or 3 wires preburried from rare to front. the rare ends are inside the last storage bin at passenger side, next to the fuse box. i was told the front ends are at somewhere in cockpit. i have not been able to locate them. maybe some people know and willing to share.

if you can find them that would be your best solution.
(remember come back to tell us when you find out).

Check out what I found in the manual.

Spare wires there are spare wires that run from the steering bay to the back of
your coach. Depending on which model coach you have, they will be found on a
terminal strip located in either the engine compartment or the service bay. You
will need one of these to connect the output signal from your brake controller to
the trailer or tow car portion of the auxili"
