Wiring Question '96 Intrigue

I recently had to remove my front air unit to replace the seal between it and the roof. When I put everything back together my thermostat (DuoTherm Comfort Control Center) will not turn on.

My only guess is that I mis-connected some of the wires when putting everything back together.

Here's what I have:


Air Conditioner Side------------------Coach Side

110 Black<---------------------------->110 Black
110 White<---------------------------->110 White
110 Green<---------------------------->110 Copper

Red<---------------------------------->Red (Actually 2 Reds)
Black<-------------------------------->Green
Blue<--------------------------------->Blue
Blue<--------------------------------->Purple

One of the reds on the coach side shows +12VDC but only when the coach door is closed. The other red shows no voltage. Connecting the "door red" to either of the other red wires (or both) causes my step to move. It's very confusing.

Any help is appreciated.

More info for those who are interested:

The following things seem not to be working:
Galley Fan
Hot Water Heater switch
Overhead lights in living room
Porch Light
Step Light

Also:
Trying to turn on the left hand 3 switches on the light switch panel by the door causes the step to open (if the step off switch is not activated).

The wiring to that panel does not show 12V unless the door open switch is closed.

I've been looking for signs of animal intrusion, but so far no chewed wires or droppings in the dash area or the battery bay. I'm not quite sure how to access the wiring for the door switch.

I have no experience with your components.

But, I would concentrate on the Red wire with no dc voltage.

There is either a break in that wire, a switch, or a fuse that precedes the end you are attempting to connect.

Or, both wires need to be connected two reds to the thermostat red?

If the powered red wire is connected to the thermostat, does the thermostat work?

The thermostat actually uses a phone-style connection for all of it's functions.

I think the no-voltage red wire is a +12V feed to something else in the coach. The whole thing with the step moving when light switches are activated is really making me scratch my head.

I'm definitely starting to think that the A/C unit wiring really had nothing to do with the electrical problem, but is more a symptom of a bigger issue in the coach.

Mike,I have a 99 model.I looked at my diagrams icould not locate the AC ones but did the step wiring.I could not see the wires for the steps anywhere close to the AC wiring.Do you have wiring diagrams?.
Not sure the coaches are the same.Willing to help any way I can.

On my rig there are three different fuses for your non functioning circuits, but are all the house fuses intact?

That is my next thing to check. Weather is not cooperating with me this evening to go check that out.

The 20A fuse on circuit 402 (step, ceiling lights, etc) was blown. I'm guessing that I did something bad when I disconnected the A/C unit and caused that fuse to pop.

I re-connected everything in the ceiling as I thought it should be and then replaced the fuse.

Everything is now working as expected. Thanks for the help!
